I knew that he meant it, i knew that it wasn't his fault. But... I was scared of him. I wanted to soothe him so bad, it tore my heart when he started sobbing. I couldn't. My body shook uncontrollably from fear when he was near.
I reached out to him with my hand trembling and ran it through his hair. He stiffened and looked up. I withdrew my hand immediately, but he caught it with his own.
