When her father, the King of Barisitia, falls ill, Maia is thrust into leading a country. While her reign is only temporary, it is obvious there are enemies everywhere that want her reign and that of her family to end. Her life is only complicated by the arrival of a mysterious pirate by the name of Ace. With enemies on the inside and outside of her kingdom, will she be able to prove that she is ready?
