Arthur Curry is struggling with his underwater kingdom. His queen, Mera, is stippling into insanity with the loss of their son. She's starting to resent him for his very being, blaming him for the death of her only child, and his kingdom is questioning his rule.

Arthur wants his world to go back to the mindless fun he used to have before the Justice League.

They find something in one another, a questionable affair between the two lovers, and a dark turn that's keeping them apart.
