I want you to be mine, but I wouldn’t know what to say to express this. I know that you’ll give me an awkward sideways hug and laughter will spill from your rosy lips. “I love ya too,” you’ll reply – you won’t read anything into it.

You’re a daydream, a fantasy, wishful thinking even. That’s why I’m sitting on your kitchen floor, not uttering a single word, in case it shatters the illusion I’m dreaming up.
