Mysterious, unidentified sightings bring the ninja to the kingdom of Shillvaron, one of the four kingdoms in Ninjago. Their mission? Protect the Ruby Princess and her prized possession: the Fire Crystal.
Everything is going well until Lloyd discovers a link from their new enemy to his old enemy: the Overlord. But no one seems to take his suspicions seriously. Cole couldn't care less about what his former rival has to say and Jay has his own problem to worry about. Garmadon was recently thrown back into his teenage years--and Kai has taken a liking to the princess. Lloyd's refusal to tell the whole truth only pushes them further away and he delves into the mystery alone.
But the green ninja isn't as strong as he used to be--physically and mentally--so when his Baddie marking starts acting up again for an unknown reason, fear enters in and it takes everything he has not to fall apart in front of the friends he doesn't fully trust.
