"I stared at my father with the most blank expression imaginable, my jaw hanging open. Either he was full of blasphemy, or the words that had just been spoken were a joke. There's no way I could be a twin."

Alleah and Andrew Smith were born healthy babies to their overjoyed parents, but with a quirk. Both twins were born with powers and both are targeted by a very greedy man named Zemlicka, who plans to kidnap them both to use them for his benefit. When Zemlicka only succeeds to kidnap Andrew, their father sends Alleah to an adoption center as a last hope to protect his beloved daughter from Zemlicka. 

Now sixteen years later, Alleah is clueless to the fact that she has a twin as she lives the normal life of a teenage girl. However, her camouflage doesn't last forever and soon she discovers her true identity. Will Alleah be able to protect her family from the greedy ways of Zemlicka, or will both twins be controlled by Zemlicka forever?

Once the alpha steps down and his son becomes alpha, the command keeping her there will be null and void. Plus with everyone distracted it will be the perfect time to escape. She just has to hope she can make it until then and that she doesn't meet her mate. If she does and he rejects her, all he'll will break loose because that will be the start of it all. Will she be able to survive until her powers fully show themselves and she takes her rightful place or will she be found and extinguished before that can happen?

In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. I also didn't think about being a superhero and rescuing the world from the bad. The only thing I want is to be left alone and get over with my last year of high school.
