"Tex pressed his lips gently against mine, in the silence of our home. the others had gone out for drinks while I stayed home. I had no idea he came home so early. 'I'm sorry...' he mumbled with a small sweet grin, slightly exposing his fangs, 'I had to; you're my light with no direction.'"

A share-house is a place where people (most commonly inn the same age group) come to live together for a period of time: whether it be during collage, or just to meet new people. These homes tend to be in a small community of other share-houses.
However, within the community of Mapletree Avenue, things were different.

Arianne Paisley had just finished high school and was looking for a place to stay while she went to art school. She searched everywhere but nothing stuck out as significant to her. That soon changed when she was introduced to Mapletree Avenue; a small community of share-houses right by the school she was to attend in the fall. Things seemed to be going her way, until she met her roommates. A werewolf, a mermaid, an elf, and a vampire all under one roof.

They say things were strange about that community, but she didn't know it would be THAT strange!
