Isaac and this unnamed female had never talked but had known each other for a long time. The beginning of the story begins at the age of sixteen, when this young, teenage girl was awoken in the middle of the night with a knock to her door. To her surprise, it was Isaac.
Isaac is named the school mental case, the sociopath, the crazy one and the pyscho. This teenage girl, who's name is unknown throughout the story, is also labelled mental however for her own reasons.
