At the Doors of Death, everything goes wrong. Bob is unable to help Percy and Annabeth. Percy has to hold the button himself and is stuck down in Tartarus for three-hundred years. When he's finally rescued from Tartarus, it unleashes a threat to Olympus once again. But what happened within Tartarus itself, where Percy fought for every second of his life? Travelling with a cat and an amnesiac Titan whom is slowly recovering his memories, Percy soon realises that he can't tell friend from foe. And deep within the depths of Tartarus, an ancient deity begins to stir.
