At six years old, Gwen Roliana learned that she had abilities unlike any one her age or even older. There was never a reason for it and much to the dismay of her family there was never a cure they could find. Gwen is a superhuman. It didn't take long for those around her to fear her and resent the power she held. Unfortunately, it took an awfully long time for Gwen to realize it wasn't her fault she was special. It was just fate.

At twenty years old, Gwen Roliana is stronger then any weapon the military could dream of conceiving and works at the local cafe. In the fourteen years since her powers surfaced Gwen has learned to hide what makes her special and that is best to live in the shadows. Humanity isn't at too much of a lose though. As suddenly as Gwen's powers arrived so did the powers of others. Those with abilities took to the streets and like something out of a comic book heroes and villains emerged.

It's in the big city of unspecific origins that we begin our story. One night when a mugger challenges Gwen after work she comes faced to face with the city's new rising hero Inferno. Mistaking her as a damsel in distress saves her and an instant connect is made.
