Margo watched Evelyn for no more than a few seconds, watching her thrash in her grandmother's arms like a screaming child. She got up, feeling a little dazed but still conscious of the swelling on her back. Lila tried to talk to her, but Margo just shoved past her, unable to speak or think clearly. She didn't want Lila to comfort her. She didn't need it.
