It was five months, two days, five hours, and fifty six seconds after he had cheated on me when I came to the conclusion that the best way to not be sitting on my bathroom floor crying at 3:09 in the morning crying over my ex-was to never love anyone more than they loved me. It was a foolproof plan. If I didn't care as much as them, I couldn't hurt as much as them. If I did find myself caring for someone more than they did to me, I'd cut all ties.
