Also with one mistake could it ruin his life or make his life better no one knows, only reading will tell you more. But what happens it turns him to do something he regrets the rest of his life, but there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel as this one person who truly knows him is waiting for him at the end of it all. And all works out for the best all round.
