We Were Just Kids

Max and Ashton were both three when they met. They went to the same preschool and elementary school. But when they were in 7th grade, Max had to move all the way across the country, leaving Ashton alone for two years, without even saying goodbye

Ashton and Max lost contact from each other after about a month after Max moved away. This caused Ashton to grow distant and depressed. All the friends he had, left him because Max was gone. He later realized, that they weren't there for him, they were there for Max.

After two years, when they were both Sophomores, Max came back. He goes to Jefferson High, the same school Ashton and all his old friends go to. Max does recognize him, but quickly forgets about him once his other old friends started to work their way back into his life.

What will Max do when he finds out about Ashton's secret? Will he try and help him? Or will he just let it go, and let Ashton go?
