Mach and her family move to America for a new start, as she enters the school, Lakewood High, she has everyone call her "Kat" based off her username on her online gaming sites. Asuna recognizes this name, it was her friend from online. Holly, Jacob, and Dan tell her it could be anyone but, Asuna recognizes the British accent out of nowhere. Holly thinks she'll lose her only friend that will argue with her about politics, Jacob thinks he'll lose the only friend he has that knows him dearly as Dan tries to dig up Mach's past and he discovers a lot more then he thought he would find.
