He played his pieces well, I'll give him that. Proper opening with five murders that looked like seemingly random suicides, followed by a apparent break in his defence that only led me into a dead end. Move after move. Kill after kill. He had his endgame planned out. Had. I found a flaw in his strategy. Now he is desperately moving pieces to trap me in a corner. He ended his turn. Now it's my move. "Breathe." He dipped his head down so that his lips were right at my ear, his strong arm wrapped securely around my waist, molding my body into his. "If you're going to fall apart,." He starts, teeth gritted. "Now's the time. I'll be here to put you back together when it's over." I squeezed my eyes shut again, and I did just that. I fell apart. ******* Secrets. Lies. Deception. Murder. I'd seen and done it all. And not willingly. So I left. I sacrificed my freedom to save myself, and the only way to ensure my own safety was to start over. Clean slate. New people. New me. But the last thing I expected when I arrived at Manonwell Prep Academy was to be bombarded by a boy-no, a man who held some unknown vendetta against me. Call it obsession, infatuation, hatred. To me it was all one in the same. He was everywhere I turned, like a shadow. Watching me. Taunting me. Haunting me. And it was all because of something I did to him a long time ago. It was something so bad that he couldn't stand me, that he wanted me dead, and the idea of making my life a living hell was something that he took pride in. But I didn't remember. I had no clue what I could've done to him in the past, but he was hellbent on pushing me until I did. My plans on starting over were shattered the minute I stepped inside that school. He was the type of person that demanded your attention without having to speak. He was untamed and wild and unhinged. But what he didn't know was that the Winter Travers that he knew in past, the one I didn't remember, was no longer alive. I was different. She was gone and I was here. And he was everything I should've been afraid of. Sinister, quiet, manipulative, but I knew it would be a cold day in hell before I let him win. Ronan was like gasoline waiting to be doused on the fire that inside me, and if he was ready to burn, then so was I.

The Boy Who Saw Snow For The First Time
I walked over to a nurse with profiles opened in her hands, she was reading but whatever, “excuse me, miss, do you know where Kyle’s room is?” I asked politely so she would actually tell me. “Room two twenty eight”, she said while looked at me and kept the profiles opened. “Thank you, miss”, I said while I walked slowly past her looking at the room numbers. “You’re welcome”, she said while she continued walking and reading the profiles as she walked into the office. I looked for the room two twenty eight, until I finally found it. I walked into his room and searched it for anything that I could use to see if he did it or not, I bet he did, but I don’t know, not yet anyways.

You only will hear about your distract's death, you won't hear any other news till the tournament is over Same old shit that we have to listen to like, choose two people from each distract tell them the rules, then tell the rest of the distract when and where to watch the tournament. I thought. I turned to my brother who is two years older me and understands everything, been hearing this tournament for twenty years and still hasn't been chosen. I have no idea why he wants to go in the tournament like why do you want to enter you can die, then he just says "I rather die from something more real then boredom.", do have to agree though he makes a good point, dieing from something more real then boredom will be better. "The distract residents who aren't in the tournament will be right here when ever they wake up and start watching. We will be choosing a female and a male, you maybe that lucky one who gets to be in the tournament. We are going to do males first, and the lucky handsome little man is, Dean Baker." She said my brother, he did a little happy dance then went back to being all mopey. He stood and went to the stage where the one chick is standing. "Now for the females, that beautiful devil angel is-" she reaches her hand into the fish bowl, make circle movements, picked one up and said "Sammy Baker" (Short story - completed)
