My Christmas mate- Jily

"Hey we're friends remember! So you call me James." He said twirling a strand of my hair in his fingers.

"Potter. I don't know why, but I like you. You told me, friends don't have nicknames. Well... Sirius calls you Prongs so..."

I look down at my toes while my fingers fumble with the hem of my shirt.

"I've always called you Potter. And I hated you then. Soon when we became friends, I couldn't stop calling you Potter. But you wanted me to call you James, so I stayed up late every night repeating James..."

I look up at his face. Breathing in all his features scared this will be the last time I can look at him in this way. "That's when I figured out I call you Potter because I've always felt a certain way about you. But you asked me to be friends, so I got pushed to the friends zone. Meaning no more saying Potter."

I took a step closer willing myself to not faint at our proximity.

"But. James Potter, Lily Evans likes you. So she, is going to call you whatever the hell she wants."
