Fragments of a dying world

A dying world begins to shatter, piece by piece. Though, within those broken fragments two souls intertwine. And with the single rhythmic beat of a butterfly's wing...everything changes.

"Let's make a deal" The flames in the boy's eyes dance wildly as he speaks. She licks her lips nervously. "What kind of deal...?" Phoenix runs a hand through his dark hair, making him seem even wilder, as though he was an animal. It was common sense to never make a deal with a demon... and yet, she couldn't help but be drawn to the idea. "Lend me your life force and in return, I'll become your temporary familiar, I'll show you a world where magic exists, a world where anything can happen... I will protect you from harm... It will only be temporary" The girl's eyes sparkle with interest, "Why would you want to become a familiar?" She asks. "It will be of great use to me" The boy pulls out a dagger, bringing it to his palm he makes a small cut. Blood oozes out of the small wound and trickles down his arm.
