She wasn't a "normal girl". She was a mutant and attended a boarding school for people like her. The Charles Xavier Institute For Gifted Youngsters.
There, she meets Scott Summers. They immediately become friends... What if their feelings become more than "just friends"?

Middle School Heroes

50 parts Complete

Imagine a world where Charles Xavier has expanded his school for gifted children to include not only X-gene positive children, but children from all over the Marvel and DC universes. Some with Superpowers and others with more common skill sets that they simply excel at. Welcome to the Xavier Middle School. A beautifully situated large campus in upstate New York where most of the students live in a dorm due to their tragic origin stories and the teachers are not only special themselves, but trained to deal with children growing up and learning to deal with being different. Some of their students will go on to become heroes, others villains, and some......well......maybe a bit of both. First, however, they have to navigate the prickly world of 6th - 8th grade and deal with middle school issues such as fitting in, standing out, making friends, dances, relationships and HYDRA.
