Alexia “Alex” Santos has always been the outspoken tomboy who was known for being overly happy within school. Diagnosed with HIV, she knows her life has been restricted unlike many other teenagers. However this doesn't stop her from helping other students with problems of their own.

"If I can't help myself with my own life, then can't I make someone else's better?"

But this recently new-found motto Alex created has landed her in trying to help Nathanial "Nathan" Young, her best friend's delinquent brother.

Alex enters Nathan’s life like “sunshine and rainbows”, as she likes to describe it. However her attempts at befriending him leave him thinking she’s mentally and physically crazy.

Willing to find Nathan’s happiness, Alex comes to the genius idea of finding him a girlfriend to find his own "sunshine and rainbows."

Soon both of them find themselves falling for each other. But Alex knows not to drag anyone into the life she has.

Senior year wasn’t meant to be this crazy. But Alex is determined to help Nathan find his happily ever after.

Even if it isn’t with her, no matter how much that breaks her heart.
