35 years after the Stardust disease broke out, nothing had changed much except the rising of the Saeculum Society. The Saeculum Society takes in those who have been affected by the Stardust disease causing them to gain special traits that could harm them if not taught how to handle them. Stella Marshall is unclaimed, which means she does not yet know her abilities but she doesn't even know her parents. The only thing she knows is that her foster mother seems to leave the room every time she enters it. Her life is a secret until her final exams... Philip Johnston is also unclaimed but is a part of the Saeculum Society and knows everything there is to know about the ins and outs of their society. Once he meets Stella for the first time, he realizes her life had been a lie and she needs to know the truth before things go wrong.

[Warning: Sexual Content] "I wondered if there would ever be a point when we didn't hesitate, or when my heart didn't pound so hard against my ribs when he undressed me. As much as I wanted it to feel more natural, I didn't want to lose how lightheaded and giddy it made me feel." ~ After a severe and somber encounter with his mother, Albion Bryson's life seems to be turned upside down. A serious head injury causes his father to turn for help to Doctor Grace Reynolds. Hearing about Albion's condition and change of attitude, Grace convinces her oldest daughter, Dawn Reynolds, to help and socialize with him after hearing they shared classes at school. Dawn, later, becomes a significant person in his life. As time passes, the two become inseparable as Albion continues with his life despite the way he thinks of himself.
