**I add a drop if orange and 2 drops of lavender in the diffuser and close the lid. "This is my favorite combo, Beth. I've started using it at when I go to bed too."
Beth smiles up at me from her bed and takes my hand in hers. "So when you go to bed you're thinking of me."
This is why I love to end my night with her. "Absolutely," I squeeze her hand and slip her a smile back "I wouldn't end my shift or my night any other way."
I stand up and reach for the light. "Is there anything you can think of before I go?"
"I have everything I need, thank you. Your such a sweetheart." She leans back into her pillow. "Goodnight Emily."
"Goodnight Beth. Sweet dreams." I turn off the lamp halfway through then make my way through the dark towards the door.**
Emily is a CNA, a Christian, and a young woman. This is story with an very different ending than I planned when I started. Originally, it was supposed to be a love story with a perfect ending but not everything is not as it seems. The best thing for you can become quite the opposite.
Finding oneself in a relationship, we have to learn to love our partner within the boundaries that God has laid out for us. Many struggle and have pressure from their partner, their thoughts, and friends/family.
This is a story that dives into those struggles. While this story is technically fiction, I will be the first to say that every author leaves parts of themselves in their stories to one degree or another.
