To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection
I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. The Illusion Of Love
{WARNING: THIS STORY CONTAINS RAPE, PROSTITUTION, AND OTHER UNSETTLING TOPICS!!} Ashe never expected his life to take a turn for the worst. He was a quiet person, mainly from being shy, and didn't feel the need to try and be friends with everyone. So he assumed no one had any reason to bother him. However, he was wrong. After his father married some woman who was a rich socialite, and Ashe started going to the same school her daughters, Ashe ended up in the same class as one of them too, and she held a huge grudge against him for some reason. That petty grudge drove her to do unspeakable things to him, things she could never take back, and drove a peaceful boy like Ashe to a destructive headspace. He became broken, inside and out. He felt like there was no hope left in living and wanted to end it all. That was until he met a stranger named Beatrix who changed his life for the better.
