The world went crazy after a diet pill became an epidemic. People fled to see their families one last time, while others set out to shelters. Calla fled from Canada to Seattle with her mom, before the government put up borders. 

A year later Calla is left to fend for herself, in a world she knows little about. Searching for her missing mom, she meets a man named Logan who swears he just wants to help? Will they survive long enough to find her mom, or will they perish in the aftermath of a pill gone wrong?

The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream.
