A heart broken and newly cheated on Charlotte is in the throes of a depression. Every day becoming easier, yes but still her heart feels empty. Most nights she eats her fill of ice cream and passes out which has certainly done nothing for her self-image. One night she drinks a little too much wine and finds a grimoire. She ends up remembering that she wanted to be a Wiccan before she was in a relationship with her ex-douche. So she ends up casting a spell to the ancient Egyptian God Anubis. To her bewilderment this ends up summoning the god himself.
Bored and lonely, Anubis was going mad from the lack of stimulation in his immortal life. He could take up an immortal lover of one of the Goddesses. Some of whom have been very insistent on getting into his empty bed. Though, he found most of them too obnoxious to lie with. So, surprised and curious of the sudden summons of his magic by this little female mortal he decides to visit her. Intrigued by her boldness and the pain he senses in her heart he takes her as his bride and brings her back to his own realm. Where he precedes to try to court her, key word, try.

A wave of confusion comes over me and I tilt my head looking at her. "Are you sure that is what you want?" I look at her neck where my mark should be and feel my canines extending. Jordan simply smiles and nods her head. I readjust our bodies, so she is underneath me. I lean down and softly kiss her lips. The kiss burns my lips and not in the normal mate bond way. I pull away and rub my lips trying to get the sensation to go away. Jordan stares at me with her eyes squinted. I look her over and see nothing short of the perfect mate I am used to, however, something isn't right. Jordan pulls me down closer to her and starts leaving little kisses all over my body. Every place her lips touch immediately burns. I push her away and move towards the bottom of the bed. She sits up and moves to come closer to me. I move away again. "Liam, don't you want to mark me? Don't you want this?" Jordan looks at me pouting. This is when I realize what is going on. I smile and move to her. "Of course, I want to my queen," I coo at her and grab her wrists and pin them behind her head. My hands are burning from touching her, but I fight through it. I start leaving kisses all along her neck and pause where my canines are supposed to sink into her neck. Jordan lets out a throaty moan and I can smell her arousal. I kiss up and towards the middle of her throat. My canines extend and I bite into her throat and rip it out. Her eyes fill with pain and she struggles before the life is finally drained out of her.
