Kaneki is still coming to terms to almost dying at the hands of a ghoul and later waking up as one himself. He's always been a kind and gentle person since he was a child, but now; he's a ghoul that must kill and eat humans to survive. Kaneki is now part of a world that is far more complicated and close to home than he could have ever imagined. Uta was hurt multiple times by people he thought loved him and now has a nasty chip on his shoulder. He'd became a fuck boy with a knack for breaking hearts. Ghouls always fell for the whole 'tortured soul' thing he had going for him and he'd let them if it meant taking his mind off things.
