I walk out of the train and can already smell the smoke in the air, as I walk down the pebbled streets of Birmingham I realise how long it has been since I've been here. I plan on going to the pub that me and my brother used to go in. It's now almost dark, I have to walk down an alley way to arrive at the pub. As I walk down I hear footsteps behind me getting faster and closer.... I am now walking at a quick pace. I then stop in my tracks as I hear a familiar sound near my head.... the click of a gun.......
This book is based off the 20th century set (1919) TV series; peaky blinders. You don't have to watch the series to read this book. But I advise you to because you will understand the characters better.
