The lives of seven teens virtually go to hell when nuclear warfare manages to start the apocalypse by spreading a strain of a new virus that causes people to turn into zombies upon death. With no training, no guidance and no idea what they're doing, Ivy, Amythist, Rie, Cora, Taylor, Reese, and Quinn attempt to survive the apocalypse, find refuge and find their families. With only what was stocked in their school's emergency shelter and what they've seen on TV, will they be able to survive? Probably not.

Sixteen-year-old Jane wakes up to a desperate text from her best friend¬¬¬-the dead are walking around outside her window. Jane's parents are in New York for the weekend, and Jane is completely alone. After a gruesome personal tragedy, Abby rescues Jane, and the girls flee the town they grew up in, hoping to find a place unaffected by the dead. Abby's family lake house seems like the only choice, but their beacon of hope is three States away, separated by a sea of reanimated death. Reaching it will be anything but easy. Being head cheerleader doesn't exactly prepare you for life during the apocalypse, and it's a dangerous learning curve.

Once New Orleans became infected with the "Dark flu" everything changed. School became a doctors appointment and adults beame freakishly worried parents. Just as everyone was getting used to the daily checks, the flu suddenly became deadly. But not everyone is staying dead. Carmen, a normal 17 year old student become's a leader of a group of scared teenagers defending themselves against the walking dead, while trying to stay alive and find safe ground, Romace sparks, voilence grows and friendship becomes the only upperhand. Will Carmen and all her pack survive? Or will corpses rule in this Zombie Apocalypse?

*NOTE: I am currently rewriting some parts of this, which will result in some added content and changes!* When a virus begins to spread throughout the world, turning those it infects into flesh-eating monsters. Forced to flee her home, Quinn watches her city devolve into insanity and bloodshed as it is taken over by the dead. Now she must struggle to survive in this terrifying, lawless world. Survival is difficult even with the help of friends, and the undead aren't the only things to worry about.
