His body trembled in fear, “Don’t let them take me,” He whispered, “Don’t leave me.” His fists gripped the grey rusted metal bars tightly, tattoo-like symbols pressed into his upper arms glowing the bright blue like they always did.
She watched as the abnormal creature struggled to contain himself from breaking – fascinated by his tears that fell from his blue glowing eyes, the water actually being intense blue with the brightest shine; lighting up the room filled with cages, held up by grimy old walls. He of all people definitely didn’t belong here; or deserved to be.
“I won’t, I promise.” She reassured him as they slowly brought their faces closer to each other not thinking of the bars separating them. Her hand found his cheek in the small light made by his supernatural glow.
He shut his eyes leaning his head against the rusted metal and breathed out shakily feeling more than cramped in the human cage he was thrown in. “Don’t let me go.”
