(Luke Hemmings fanfiction)
The voices in my head won't stop. They're pushing me back to that day. That horrible, terrifying day, that I will never forget. I pound my fists against my temples, and sink deeper beneath the covers on my bed. I feel hot tears start to fall down my cheeks. Why won't they stop? My head peaks out of my soft covers, as I hear a knock at my bedroom door.
"Go away!" I shout, and wipe my now puffy, and swollen eyes.
"Honey, please let me in. There's something I need to tell you, and I think you'll like it," my father spoke softly from behind the door. I slowly got up, and padded across the hard wood flooring, to my door.
"Louise, open the door, please," he half shouted. I opened my door, and my dad smiled. He ran to my bed, and plopped down, resembling a little girl, and I couldn't help but giggle at the thought.
"Sit down," he patted the spot next to him, with a wide grin on his face. Father pulled my wrist gently, urging my to sit next to him. A small smile grew on my lips.
"Well, as you know, I lost my job last week. But just yesterday, a new business called me. They said I received excellent reviews from the old warehouse. So, they offered me a job." He smiled widely, all teeth showing, and I now felt sudden joy. My dad deserved this.
"Wow, that's great dad! When do you start?" I asked.
"See, that's the thing. I start in two days. But.. We, uh, we have to move," his face turned serious. Was he being serious? I jumped on him and hugged him.
"Are you serious? Oh my god, dad. This is great, this is amazing! Wait- where to?"
"England."
