Part one of The Barnes Series Erica Walsh has always considered herself ordinary, dealing with caffeine dependency issues, making it through the workday, drinking plenty of water, and managing her anxiety and depression. Everyday things a woman in her late twenties worries about. Except Erica is anything but ordinary, high-profile past, a highly skilled former S.H.I.E.L.D agent trained by the best. She visits old friends while on vacation, trying to figure out her next move. But, when the newly appointed Captain American and his dysfunctional co-worker/ not friend James "Bucky" Barnes seek her help, Erica finds it more challenging to keep the past in the past.
