Seventeen year old Madeline Satin has lived under the Community's rules all her life. Going to bed the same time as everyone else. Wearing similar clothes, the same color as everyone in her District and Section. Going to Eight periods during Class every day. Eating a Family dinner then going to sleep, only to repeat the same thing the next day.

But the one thing that splits the Community a part individually is the Test. A life changer, for Madeline Satin.

She is one of the Imaginations, or Vivids.

Imaginations are vile, rebellious human beings that have "evil" thoughts of rebelling against the Community. Madeline is forced to leave her loving home and live in the Institute where they hold all the Imaginations and try to change their ways.

But when Madeline is paired up with the dangerous, untameable Char, the inevitable happens.All Rights Reserved
