Dragons and Vikings had lived in peace before the events that lead to Berks own dragon riders. These men and women are led by the great grandson and founder Perseus Jackson. Now you see Perseus wasn't any normal Viking he had this special connection with dragons that allowed him to gain the respect and sometimes tame even the fiercest of species' such as the Whispering Death, Speed Stinger and, depending on the mood this dragons in, a Night Fury. But that's all myth and legend according to Berks Chief Stoick the Vast.
