Amelia always liked the '20s America, she dresses like a flapper, avoids modern technology as much as possible, and listens to old music on a record player. More mature then she could be, she's never had any real friends and longs for love.

One summer, while staying in her aunt's summer house, she meets the ghost of Jay Gatsby, a man who even in death feels the ache of a broken heart. And yet he find himself following Amelia around New York, protecting her and learning about the modern world. As days pass, he starts growing fond of the unusual adult while Amelia herself wonders if she can live without the first friend who might mean something more...
