There are others. Others who felt the impact way more than I did- others that it directly affected.
I'm just a girl that was in his grade, was aware of his existence. Went to the same school as him, three lockers down.
So why was it so life-changing when he had been found dead that one morning?
Because I never really knew him.
And now? My chance was gone.
So I started this journal, writing so that he could get to know me-
Because I can never know him.

"She's right! She's right! I don't cut in the right spot." My hold tightens on my wrist. The red blood oozes out of my wrist. I slide up and grab my bag and run out of the bathroom. I don't care if people can see the blood I just want to get out. I race for the doors and shove through people. I earn a lot of glares and glances that read "weirdo." I ignore and push. I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me. I grab my razor and cut deep cuts into my arm and wrists falling into a pool of my own blood. • • • Evangeline has a great life. Friends? Check! Good grades? Check! Loving family? Check! My life has always been terrible. I was always bullied at school. I don't know why, it just seemed that people didn't like my presence. The guys would beat me up and I'd get in trouble when I defended myself, for the teachers never saw what they did. The girls would trick me, making me think they liked me and laughing at me because of it. I was always in the principle's office for one reason or another, but I wasn't a bad student. I actually got really good grades. To make matters worse, my mother wanted nothing to do with me. She'd lock me in the basement, sometimes for days, with no food or warmth. My father would then sneak down and beat me before raping me. So, naturally, I wanted to die. But, for some reason, I can't die. No matter what I do, I can't stay dead. Have you ever had your own journal? One that you either are required to have or just have to get your thoughts out... I do, and it's for when I go to therapy. It was supposed to help soothe me and give me something to talk of when I visited my therapist. Coming from me it means a lot of writing of bad things, sometimes the bad things are all I think about and I write in it every day. It would be horrible if someone read it outside the circle of me and my therapist. I trusted her and that was it, no one else was a loud in. Sometimes I thought of someone who I would let read it but he would never pay attention to me, I was a nobody; in his world.Complete

Would it have changed anything if I had told you this before? Would it have sugarcoated everything and made it better? I guess we'll never know or maybe I'll never know.
