Depth of Flame

Lanthania, a land completely cut off from the outside world, where a woman has just given birth to a stillbirth, she travels to an unknown land in lanthania hoping to bring her baby back to life. She finds a cave to take shelter in, but finds an old, mysterious, suspicious, and ugly man dwelling inside, who proposes a deal to her. "Give your child to the void and it shall be reborn, in the Depth of Flame." She accepts as she kisses her baby on the forehead and hesitantly hands her baby over to the man. He then drops the baby, the mother screams attempting to grab the child but before it hits the ground, a portal appears with a bright, luminescent light, almost as fire, consuming the baby, but before it closes the mother hears the one thing she wanted to hear.......... her sons cry.
