Phenix Tout has lived a hard life since he could remember. He has a abusive father, a alcoholic mother, and both of his sisters were the 'golden children' unlike him. At school he is a 'fag' and a 'outcast' and is harassed because of all the cuts and bruises he is accompanied with when he goes school.

Aren Sprat doesn't remember his parents, who died when he was 2(from then they lived with an aunt who left them when they were old enough to fend for themselves) He lives with his sister, who is one year older than him who is one of his only friends. He is invincible to all of his classmates and is a straight A student.

Aren wants to help Phenix and get him out of his toxic living arrangements, and wants to help him learn to love himself but Phenix stays distant from Aren unless they're with friends only. Phenix doesn't want to see Aren hurt, and wants to give him all the love he deserves but the last thing Phenix wants is to make everyone pick on Aren. How will their love work?
