On August 16, 2004, at the tender age of eight years old, Aria Bellasario watched silently as her family was murdered.
Skip about ten years to the future, where a string of murders are taking place presumably by Il Diabolico, a notorious Italian gang, and Aria is eighteen years old, living in Italy as a police officer. Ever since the death of her parents, she's never gotten justice for them. The killers were never caught. Then one day, a miracle happens. She is offered the opportunity to go undercover, into the gang that had had her parents killed. Of course, she accepts.
Insert Giordano "Jordan" Pellegrino. He's twenty years old, dark, and outrageously handsome. And thanks to Baldassare Cipriano, the leader of Il Diabolico, he's Aria's new partner. Giving her a place to stay, and teaching her lessons and the ways of the gang, they become close.
