Dipper is now older than he was and has returned to Gravity Falls to get over the death of his sister(Sorry if you like Mabel I just don't really know what to do with her in this sorry I really am sorry) Mabel.
His Grunkles had left the Mystery Shack in the hands of Soos. Wendy is still working there as well but they seem to busy for Dipper to hang out with anyways. So that leaves Dipper with Pacifica.
She doesn't know how to cope with Dippers depression either so she ends up leaving town.
At night time Dipper sometimes walks and every night he will see a yellow light glowing in the dark and along with a voice that calls out to him "Come to me Pinetree my world is better than that world of abuse..."

After a terrible car crash resulting in the death of their parents, 17 year olds Dipper and Mabel Pines are sent back to Gravity Falls to live with their Grunkles. Mabel now hates Dipper, and blames him for the crash, since they were only out getting him his anxiety medication. The Grunkles don't fully agree with Mabels logic, but are still distant with Dipper, for they think he's a freak because of his anxiety. Problems
There are millions of problems in the world. Some of them can be personal, others worldwide that everyone knows about, but chooses to stay quiet. Dipper knows more problems that not many even can see. He knows of the weird things that happen in Gravity Falls. He knows when people are lying to him or themselves. Meanwhile, Bill has fallen on some bad luck. Time baby was not pleased when he returned. Bill's memories were erased and he was turned into a 18 year old human. Placed in gravity falls again, with only one thing. A note. "The mystery shack has answers." Now that Stan and Ford are running the mystery shack for the summer, Soos gets a summer off.
