Naomi's always been different, right from the moment he first met her, but not anything big. She's just stupid and witty and amazing and does strange things like wolf whistle old ladies and steal his granddad's false teeth like she's some kind of klepto. It's because she has all this confidence, like she doesn't know what to do with it, and Tom loves her for that, more than anything. But when some stupid meat-head stranger turns up, claiming to be her 'mate' and drooling everywhere, he might have to start asking himself what will win out; love or biology? And it's not a question he can answer easily, because maybe Naomi's biology's not quite as human as he thought it was and certainly her kind ain't as noble as they want you to think. 'Cos they're all just dogs, really, aren't they?
