Radiofrequency ablation, simply known as RFA, is one of the common treatments for pain. For the treatment, radio wave electrical current is used to heat the concerned area, which reduces the pain signals. It is mostly used for the treatment of chronic pain of the back and neck, while doctors also consider the option for patients who are suffering from arthritis. Depending the cause of the pain and the location of the area, the relief from radiofrequency ablation can last for about six months to a year. RFA has been recommended by doctors for different kinds of pain and there are limited complications with the procedure. In rare cases, patients may have some bleeding at the site of insertion, and your doctor is the best person to explain if you are at a risk of certain side effects.
While RFA is safe, patients may have some swelling at the treatment site, which eventually subsides in a few days. Patients who have active infections or have any kind of blood clotting or bleeding problem is not advised to opt for RFA. After the procedure is done, patients shouldn't do any form of physical exercise for at least 24 hours, but there are no diet restrictions.

In a world that screams, I stand in despair,
My voice drowned out, lost in the air.
Chains of tradition tighten each day,
I long to escape, but I'm forced to stay.
Each breath I take feels heavy and torn,
Every mistake a scar I've worn.
I crave a sky where I can be free,
Away from the walls that imprison me.
For now, I sit with my heart in pain,
Silent, yet screaming, again and again.
Though shattered, a spark in me still survives,
Dreaming of freedom where my soul can rise.
