There is a particular ambiance in a corner store, or a convenience shop, one of bland but dependable efficiency that is sometimes drowned out by the harshness of fluorescent lights. People of all backgrounds become equal here, just individuals taking advantage of the 'convenience' aspect in increasingly fast-paced lives.

In Perriton, people come and go all the time, but the one thing that remains constant is the large corner store down Advena Street. No one remembers how it came to be, but it has served as a backdrop to much of the town's history. For in the bright glow of fluorescent lights, open 24 hours a day, anything can happen.
