they all lined up, with happy faces. too bad nobody noticed, they were all broken. to sad to speak what they really thought, that was the part that was so sad.

The government took over completely but was quickly overrun by robots that they had created to enforce the newly created laws. As the robots continued to make more of themselves and become powerful, kids were mainly targeted as they were seen as bad to the mechanical monstrosity that was ruining the city. A teenager tried to keep most of the kids safe and hid them well, making sure they were safe with mothers and fathers who had already suffered losses of their own children being taken and enslaved. At the start of the government taking over, a group of people was forced out of the city due to their ignorance, according to the government that is. It became a comforting story to the scared kids that they'll come back and save them, told by the teenager who risks his life to save them. One day, the teenager that was saving the kids suddenly goes missing after a night.

They just wanted food from the store. It was all they were asking. It was all they planned for. Not for violence. Not for blood. Not for staring. Not for imprinting. Not to be found irresistible. Certainly not to lose their ice cream. But most importantly of all... Not for their reality to change at all.
