The White Snake

Wit (her name might be changed to Wen) has always wanted to become a knight. However, when denied the rightful place by her queen because she's a woman, a source brings her another way to save her ailing queen: a scale of the elusive race of the White Snake. The wearer can hear the voices of animals, and in doing so, heal the queen's mind ever since she was stripped of her powers. Wi t/ Wen knows that even if she retrieves it, the knighthood will never accept the threat she poses to their society, so she leaves, preparing to mask herself as a male knight. Wit / Wen sets off, alone, hindered by the murderers of her father, and the ones who gave her the burns she must carry for the rest of her life.
As Wit / Wen travels to save her queen, will she instead bring the warring countries around her to their knees as well?
