The main character is a spirit, a ghost without its body, wanders around in the darkness, the Dream Plane. Doors begin to appear in the Dream Plane, but each leads to pain and suffering. The never ending torment is all led by a man named Red Eye, a devilish maniac who loves to watch the protagonist wallow in agony. From a room of torture, to a manor of murderous dolls, then to a mental asylum, to a monster who haunts the happy family, and then lastly, to a hell of endless pain. Will our protagonist survive or will they burn in hellfire?

Ethan's nightmares are terrifying. He hates falling asleep; he hates having to witness the twisted world that he's forced into when he closes his eyes.
