"Hey, babe," Branson said.  "Are you ready for your first day at the conference?"

"First day?  Don't be silly.  This is my second day."

"What?  How?  It shoukd be Monday there."

"Honey, it's Tuesday.  I know you didn't call yesterday, but I figured you were just too tired. And fell asleep."

"No..." Branson replied.  "I wasn't tired.  It's only Sunday evening.  I..."

"Oh my God," Sarah said, a tinge of panic now evident in her voice.  "Branson, is it happening?"

"I... I don't know."

"Branson, hang up the phone and call the doctor.  I'm coming home."

"No!  I'm fine.  I'm sure... I'll be fine," Branson reassured.

On a early Sunday morning; Echo is getting ready to head to her parents house to spend the day with her family. There's a knock on the door. Echo opens it, surprised at the smiling figure of a male looking down at her. "Hi! Is Izzy here?! I have to drop off her notes!" The boys says holding up a yellow note book with Izzy's classic property tag written on it, 'Izzy Is Baby'. "She's not here right now. But you can set it on her desk over there." I say while moving and letting him pass. I close the door and walk to my bed, grabbing the CD's I bought for my younger sisters Evie. He walks to the door and turns the handle but it doesn't open. I turn around when I hear him struggling with the door. "The door won't open." He says pointing to the handle. "Yeah it's been weird the past week or two. You just have to yank on it." I say as I walk up to it to open it. But a loud static sound comes over the speakers. "Hello students of Clover University. It seems we've had a glitch in the locking system. We're not sure how long it will take to repair. So unfortunately you're stuck in the dorms until further notice. We're sorry for the inconvenience." The speakers make a beeping sound then go quiet. I sigh before throwing my bag on my bed and plopping down. I pull out my phone and call my parents, telling them what is happening and that I won't see them until they fix the issue in the system. "Well then. Guess I'm stuck with thee Echo Short!" The boys smiles joyfully before marching over to Izzy's bed and sitting down. "So you know my name but I don't know yours." I say looking at him. He chuckles. "Kai Wells! It's a pleasure to meet you!" He says happily. "Nice to meet you Kai Wells! I look forward to getting to know you buddy." I say with a faint smile before falling back into my bed and plugging in my earbuds. This is gonna be a weird... Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. Steal and kill their prey. That's what she heard but she didn't believe it until a few nights ago. (kinda like the movie Warm Bodies)
