In Genevieve's world, normal people have writing all over their skin. Now, I don't mean tattoos or anything of the sort; they're born with them. They are called the "Marked." The "Marked" live in peace and accord inside the Gates; a metropolitan city that contains anything a person needs to survive and to thrive, and maybe even more... Outside the Gates, life is hard and unbearable. The people live in the barren wastelands that the ancestors of the world mistreated and killed. They are "Blanks," just about the opposite of the "Marked." The entire "Blank" population is cast out of the city, forced to live in poverty and hunger, while the "Marked" are purged of these hindrances and are given what they need. The twisting tales of Genevieve will take you through both perspectives of the "Marked" and the "Blanks." This story is based off of works of art from the artist named, Ronit Bigal. "Imagine a world where the words you speak appear in your skin. Would you be more careful of what you say?" -Ronit Bigal, Artist. || all rights reserved. copyright © 2014 | andrew estrada.
