{MAN THIS IS ALSO PRETTY FETUS OF ME IT CONTAINS CRAP WRITING so if you're alright with that then proceed}
Marienna Reyes has always lived a difficult life. Deaths, big let downs, and everything crumbling around her are just a small fraction of it. But she finds that there's a small beacon of hope for her. There's a program called the Erasure, where 16 year old volunteers who want to give up their old lives are allowed to. Basically, all they do is erase teens' minds, so that teens can let go of their dreadful pasts and start life anew. Marienna's wish to perform the Erasure on her almost comes true when she's about to turn 16 in about a month. But then she's kidnapped from her orphanage by a boy named Daren, who tells her that there's more to the Erasure than what the government actually reveals. Will Marienna still go on with the Erasure? And what will she and Daren really discover about this seemingly harmless program?

13 parts Complete Mature
The years went by as Kira watched everyone else blossom and grow. The special children had turned 18 and had stopped aging physically. With every passing year, their powers grew stronger, but they were not the only ones. He was getting closer; they were getting closer. Kira could feel it, and so could Alice. It's almost like that tingling feeling on the back of your neck or when the hair on your skin would stand up straight. That strange feeling where a person feels like someone is standing behind them, but when they turn around, no one is there. That is how Kira feels; the intensity of those feelings grows with each passing year. It was only a matter of time before the Gates would open, and once more, Kira would face her own personal demon. He will come for her, as well as everyone and everything she loves, and one of them will die, if not both of them. Looking back at her very long life, Kira realizes that she has many regrets. Such as allowing herself to live in fear, sheltering herself away in heaven, giving up her only child, not being there for her or their kin, and only watching what she has created bloom from afar. Had Kira known she was running out of time, she would've done things differently. For the choices she has made, Kira was prepared to pay whatever the price. Time was ticking, draining like the sands of an hourglass. No matter how hard Kira tries to delay the inevitable, the sand continues to flow through her fingers. Nothing could prepare them for what is to come. Between the journal and Kira's nightmarish dreams, she doesn't know which scares her more. However, she does know one thing, and that is that she refuses to go down easily, even if it means she must make the ultimate sacrifice. It will be a fight to the finish.

***this book contains suicidal thoughts and tendencies, may not be appropriate for younger audiences*** In which she looks for the purpose of life. Lily Carter's parents died in a car crash leaving her and Laura, girl was depressed long before her parents passed away and with all the problems turning up now, Lily felt more miserable - if that's even possible. With her journey to look for life's purpose and grab the small pinch of HOPE - which is ironically her second name -, will she finally snap at the pressure and finally end it all? or will a small light lit her darkened world of grief and loneliness? * "So you know. The little goth girl who gets bullied is indeed a mess. There's this mess in her head that eats her alive everyday isn't it? What to do now Kaden? Tell the whole neighborhood and recieve an award for taking out a crazy in this world?" I spit like vomit. His eyes warmed up as I finished, "Lily. It isn't like that" "What is it then? People stopped caring... they gave up, why aren't you?" I fought my tears. "Because I feel the need to care. Did Leigh hurt you? Did she hit you?" he finally noticed the unusual redness of my cheek. I don't like the way he told me he needed to care for me. I felt like an obligation, a responsibility that he is carrying and carrying leads to getting tired and when people gets tired, they give up. I don't want them to give up on me. But they will, so it's good not to make them care for me in the first place. "I never needed anyone. I stopped needing anyone before, why start now?" I uttered the words again. Why? There is nothing to fight for. No mama. No papa. No sister to love me. No one. So why would I waste my life and the time of others to fix what is already broken - and someone who doesn't want to be fixed? If I may add. Maybe I gave up. No, scratch that. I gave up a long time ago - when my parents died, my hope and purpose went away with them.
