This is a short story (a Fan fiction) loosely based off of Rick Riordan's characters and plot in the Heroes of Olympus series. I have adapted the storyline and characters a bit to fit my own rewrite of it. I take no credit for any of his original characters, works, or published writings, only my own adaption of it. I have taken on an entirely new direction with this story, only telling a new, original story of my own.

Percy Jackson is overjoyed when his half-brother turns up at camp. At least, until his brother turns out to be a massive jerk. He stole Percy's girlfriend, Annabi-Annabeth AND turned the entire camp AND Olympus against him! Except one person. Nico di Angelo. Yeah, Nico. The creepy kid who seems to have a personal vendetta against Percy. Well, he does-sort of. It's a long story. The two unfortunately die, when they meet Chaos, creator of the universe. Apparently, Chaos decided he liked them so much he adopted them and made them commanders of his army! In the process of commandering for 10 thousand years, the two develop some very healthy crushes, and to us fangirls' delight, get together as a couple! The Fates aren't on their side, though. Chaos got called to Olympus to clean up the gods' little mess. Gaia AND Kronos AND Chaos' sister Order are loose in America, and Chaos' army has been summoned to help deal with them. and guess where the army'll be staying? In CHB, of course! Aside from fighting the bad guys' army, Percy and Nico also have to deal with nosy campers *cough* Annabeth *cough* trying to look under their hoods, stalking them, and generally not minding their own business. Everyone Deserves to be Happy (Solangelo)
Percy finds out about Nico's crush earlier than planned. And it's on neither of their terms. Until Percy gives him some good advice. Advice Nico takes to heart. But a demigod's life is never easy, and with a new prophecy and a new quest even darker forces are looming over the horizon, threatening to destroy the sunshine that Nico and another half-blood we all thought was gone have finally found. Placed during very beginning of Blood of Olympus/ between House of Hades and Blood of Olympus at the beginning. Then it switches to the end of Blood of Olympus. This is a solangelo story line. If you have not read Blood of Olympus, or do not ship solangelo, then I kindly ask you to reconsider your life choices. And then go do those things. I tried to stay true to the characters, I really truly did. If you're reading and you think I did something wrong, please let me know (but. you know. kindly.). Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride.
