Scarlet shades of huge chandelier reflected soft glow in apparently midnight dark hallway but she couldn't brush away the heavy weight on her chest with each step she took in that pathway. Her loud breathing came out in gasps which didn't help the fact that she was trying to decipher the strange rhythm of breaths being taken other than hers hot on her heels.
